Student Welfare

Students’ welfare is an issue we take very seriously at our centre. Each staff member employed by ACE will be skilled and experienced in handling students’ welfare making sure that their personal needs are met at all times as well keeping check on the behaviour of attendees of our camps. The ratio of one team leader to every twenty students is devised in order to achieve the highest level of management for all of our children. When students arrive at the camp they are notified of all the policies and regulations and they are expected to follow them for the duration of their stay.

We employ a dedicated individual to oversee the welfare of all student, the responsibility of the Welfare Assistant is to ensure that all the students have access to the WA at all times, and can be approached or contacted at any point. A daily feedback to the Centre Manager of all welfare issues is carried out.

Every single aspect of security is taken into consideration from fire training to risk assessments. Each site includes experienced First Aiders and our campuses have quick access to local hospitals and surgeries.

If students do experience any problems they will always be able to contact a member of our team. Each individual is provided with a 24-hour emergency contact number for any assistance with any problem or difficulty that may occur.

In order to cover all of all emergencies and to offer you peace of mind we recommend that you ensure that the student has the relevant travel and medical insurance. However, we will also have relevant insurance which will cover our part of responsibility.

The healthcare facilities in Coventry are excellent. Coventry's Walsgrave University Hospital is one of the UK's top NHS hospitals with a national and international reputation. Coventry Health Centre is a £20 million health facility near our accomodation where students can visit pharmacies and GPs.
